I remember Jan very well...we had lots of fun throughout high school.  She passed away many years ago and I often think of her.  A very sweet girl!  I recall that she fought a long tough battle with diabetes.   Rest in peace my friend.

This was my mother. She passed away August 26, 1989. She was 47 years old. I miss her every single day.

John....your mom was a dear friend of mine.  We shared lots of good times together and I miss her too.  I hope life is treating you well and that you can find comfort in all those memories. But I know how it hurts...she did leave this world way too soon.  She was a sweet girl and sure loved her family!!

Take care,

Sandy (SEELY) Weissel

All the best to you.

I remember your mother.  I went through grammar school and high school with her.  I always liked her.  She was such a nice girl.

John, it is so special of you to represent your mother on our page. She left us far too young. I thought Jan was one of the prettiest, most thoughtful and friendliest girls I met in high school. She always had a smile and a greeting for me whenever we ran into each other. She was one of the first to leave us and one of the most remembered by our entire class. She left you with quite a legacy of love. Hopefully, you feel of our love for her and know how much she loved you. Thank you for sharing your memories with us.

It's so nice to see and read the wonderful comments about my mother. I too am a Carlmont Alum! Class of 1986. I served in the US Navy 1988-1992 mostly aboard the USS New Jersey (BB-62) and when my mother mother died she was 46 and I was 21. That was a very sad day August 26, 1989.

Terry Gaumer, I remeber Billy, Scotty and Katy!!! :) oh yeah and that snak in Red Bluff! :)

John, you bring back fond memories. I also was a close friend of Jan's. I remember going to her house after school to hang out in Jr. high. She was very sweet and a lot of fun. I went on to be a Certified Diabetes Educator for my career. The disease takes such a toll. Great strides have been made and your mom might have lived longer in today's world. She was lucky to have you as such a loving son.
