Before buying my first auto and driving to school from Brookpark had to ride the school bus and Karen was on my route.  She was always joking and laughing, never a dull moment when she was aboard...

I Knew Karen more from Brook Park than from school.  She was always a riot!

I knew Karen Kassai from 6th grade on through Junior High. We were in Girl Scouts together. Her mother, Audrey Kassai was our leader. Audrey also started a girls' sports program through the Brook Park Recreation Center at a time when sports for girls was very limited. Audrey coached our softball, basketball and even bowling team. We had teams year round! Karen and I were on all those teams together. She was a wonderful teammate and an easy friend to spend time with. Years later I found out Karen developed MS. I've looked up information on Audrey Kassai recently and she seems also to be deceased. - Diantha (Chris) Rau

Karen lived in my neighborhood and I knew her brother Tom and her parents well.  I remember pajama parties with Jeanie Lyons, Mary Ann Komorowski and getting my father's car to "go to the library."  Good memories of a great person.  RIP my friend.
