School Story:
After my family moved to Wood Acres and I missed out on 5th and 6th grade at Westbrook, I did 7th grade at Pyle, 8th at Little Flower (to be ready for Immaculata high school). Then the Archdiocese of Washington decided to sell that property to American U. for serious moola for who knows what scandals back then. I got blacklisted from Visitation (b/c my parents sued the archdiocese with a bunch of other parents), and considered a return to public school (Whitman). Ended up at NCS for 10-12. Then to Rochester Institute of Techonology in upstate NY. Don't miss the cold.
I have a lot of memories of Westbrook, I hated moving from that neighborhood and school.

Fred the rabbit who turned out to be Frederica once it was discovered "he" was pregnant. The stud daycare bunny had escaped, and was having a clandestine romp with Fred and knocked him up!
Yes indeed, the stump with nails that no way in hell would be allowed today (in Mrs. Lesch's classroom)
The boys burping the alphabet across the room in Mrs. Brown's 4th grade when she would leave the room.
After learning about Rosa Parks in 1st grade some of the girls organizing a protest against Mr. Haberman for being a chauvinist and for always giving the balls to the boys in class and leaving the girls with the jump ropes.
On indoor recess days I would scarf my lunch down and run back up to the classroom in order to get the coveted Sorry! board game.
