I graduated from Virginia Tech in 2001 and completed a Ph.D. in meteorology from Florida State University in 2007. I currently work at the Naval Research Laboratory at Stennis Space Center, MS, and my wife, Jessica, works for the National Weather Service in Slidell, LA. Currently, my research revolves around air-sea-wave coupled modeling, with a focus on tropical cyclone and biological modeling. We will soon have three daughters who keep us on our toes, with girl #3 due November 1! My oldest daughter, Madelyn, is a year-round swimmer and Vivienne enjoys any and everything sparkly, especially clothes and shoes. Madelyn started second grade (favorite subject math!) and Vivienne started PK-4 this year (loves riding the bus!).
