Alicia Halterman

Of course everyone has memories of high school, some they hold dear and others they wish to forget. I guess, I have my share of both, but some stand out more than others. My best memories,would have to be our senior year. It was a time in my life that I really put forth an effort to know and understand my peers. I am greatful for the opportunity I had to "get to know" those who I hadn't really said too much to before the 97-98 school year. I am equally greatful for the opportunity I had to create friendships with others. And I apologize for not taking the time or having the courage or desire to get to know the rest of you.

After graduating from UAB in the Spring of 2004 with a B.A. in Mass Communications I tried my hand in the television industry but wasn't able to obtain a job here in Birmingham. So, I ventured off into the world of sports, coaching Middle School Softball, which eventually lead to a tutoring job in the Birmingham City School System. From there, I decided that being an "educator" isn't as bad as most people think, so I enrolled once again as a Blazer, this time in pursuit of my teaching certification. Currently, I am a Corrective Reading Teacher at La Pressa Middle School in Spring Valley California. I have also been blessed to reunite with my high school sweetheart, Carlos Jones...we're both older and more refined these days...there are definitely wedding bells in our future!
