M. Leah (aka Martha). Died at age 54 after a long and fierce battle with breast cancer. Born in Detroit, daughter of Arthur Schneider and Judith Mayer Schneider, she moved to New York City in 1983. Leah became one of the few women union stagehands on Broadway, a proud member of Local 1. In 2002, she married Ken Silverman. In 2006, she gave birth to twin daughters, Jasmine and Tara. Leah is survived by her husband, her two nine-year-old daughters, her brother, Jason Schneider, her niece, Rachel Kenner, friends and family from around the world, and the summer community on Hilton Beach, Ontario.
