Such a lovely tribute to Alice.  So nice to hear all that she has accomplished in life.  I remember her class pictures at West Blvd. Elementary school.  She was always so cute in those pictures.  Such an easy carefree life back then.  Alice lived on the street behind me.  That was in the days when everyone played outside and enjoyed the neighborhood.  My thoughts and prayers are with her family.

Hello Debbie, So glad you are doing so well! Each day, stronger and stronger..........See you in a few months in Florida! Don't have to tell you to watch out for Covid. Many friends here have gotten covid for the second time. Airplane seats seem to be a problem as well as many public places. Love to you. Bonnie

Hello All:
I just spoke to Kay Rappaport. She is doing well. No damage. All good. We had a nice talk.Received some info about the storm from her: Port Royal Club $$ on beach, destroyed. Many homes on the canals of Port Royal, in Naples, ruined and some fires.
Many residents reporting that they have lost all.
Some of my friends in Pelican Bay, Naples in the high rises must evacuate and live with friends. Some are international residents from Germany and France. Not sure where they will be going. Having dinner with 8 of them tonight and will find out more.
I am the only one of 87 units who is in my condominium now. I walk up my 8 floors with my lantern, however, I have air, water and all. We are not allowed to stay here all night as there are no fire alarms working.
One story I just heard was that the condo Le Jardin $$$ lost their entire first floor and 44 high end cars in their parking garage.
Nothing though is as bad as Ft. Myers beach and so many people who have nothing, really nothing. We hear stories every day.
I had a nice long talk with Debbie Sprinkle on the phone the other evening. So glad to hear from all of you. I sent her pictures of my condo building to share with you. As bad as it is, I hear that all will be fixed. We have a large, really large rental generator which is costing $30,000 a week! And I just retired!! However, it is saving the building from deadly mildew and mold.
Again, thank you all for reaching out to me. Read all your messages and would give you all a hug from Naples if I could. I truly count my blessings. This winter, when Deb S. visits Florida, we have to get together again. As many classmates as we can.

Hello All, First, I want to thank Marilyn Arditi Burns and Janie Mayer Robinson for reaching out to try and find me during the storm. I couldn't respond for a few days as all was down..............including me!
Some how, I will try to put some pictures on our site as what I am seeing is so unbelievable to witness. So many people in my neighborhood lost everything.
I live on a peninsula surrounded by water. We were hit so hard and are now recovering. My building management is doing an amazing job, night and day. Yesterday, they had a bulldozer in the parking lot scraping off a foot of mud off of the lot. Many ruined cars are still here so it is difficult. All day long, tow trucks are taking cars away. There are only 2 of us staying in the building now. I have water, electricity and my lanterns so I am OK. No air yet, however, they said they would be out today to finish the repair on the roof. All other power in this area is out. Gulf shore Dr. next to me is a very expensive Dr. on the beach. Such devastation. Naples Park and Connors Beach next to me got hit very hard also. I drove by last night and all streets on the canals had all their possessions out on the streets in huge piles, higher than their homes. National news showed one owner swimming inside his home! It is amazing as Gerry Moss shared: her area had very little damage. Most areas east of 41 were OK. West of 41 looks like a war zone.
At this point, our condo association, has taken out all drywall and absolutely everything out of the first floor condos and party room. All thrown in parking lot. Last night, I saw a huge hose going out of the front door of the building dumping huge amounts of water onto the parking lot. Found out that they were draining the 8ft.elevator shaft below ground level. That had been solid water.
They are trying not to condemn our building. Florida Power and Light and many others are working all day and night. So are police. Checking id's constantly.
Again, thank you all for your concerns. So nice to know that we have such support here in Naples, Ft. Myers. (Apologize for any typos and mispellings)
Will try to get some pictures to you. I know I am one of the lucky ones. Bonnie
