Thank you Debbie for keeping us all to date on all the news from BHS, good and not so good. Seems as I am getting older, I am getting quite lazy trying to keep up with all. I just retired for the 2nd time as a school counselor, and it seems like it takes mor and more effort to keep up with all. Are you in Florida now or Ohio? Enjoyed seeing the pictures of the reunion. Fun to see everyone.
Love to get together again in Florida. It has been awhile. You all look super and things seem to be going well. I am traveling a lot, while I can and enjoying. Just got back from Milan with my daughter, taking grandson to Washington DCfor several days and then on a cruise to Bordeaux for a week. Will need to settle down some after those trips! Best to all.

Hello Classmates. Thought I would share some of what we are going through now in Florida as the hurricane is coming to us very shortly. I have evacuated from my condominium on the beach as it probably will be hit with a few feet of surging water and probably will lose power. Our lobby has not been repaired yet from 2 years ago. We had 8 feet of water/mud in our first floor. Anyone who would stay in the building will lose their cars if they don't get out. All cars left last time were destroyed. Several ended up in the bay. We were going to start reconstruction on our lobby this week. That won't happen. Tornado warnings are a concern as they have been spotted close to 75 in Collier County which is Naples.
I am staying with friends and constantly watching the TV for updates as the weather is constantly changing.
It is my understanding that several of our classmates in Sarasota were hit very hard by the last hurricane, 2 weeks ago. Janie Mayer Robinson and the Kreps. These storms are so damaging and at our age, it is a real challenge to get the help needed to repair all. Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers as we go through the next round of these storms.
Best to you all.....

Hello classmates,
I felt that I should share that Laurie J. Heaver has passed on. Laurie was a 1972 graduate of Boardman High School. She was a drum major, played basketball and played several instruments in the band. I thought I would share with everyone because Laurie and her family were very well known and a vital part of Boardman. Dr. and Mrs. Heaver were well known and respected by all. Her siblings were well known to so many of us. I just heard that Jeff, her brother that many of us knew, was a policeman in Boardman for years after we graduated, on the football team? has also passed. Brother Bob lives in HIlton Head. He was, I think, 2 years ahead of us ( correct Judy Brick?), and of course Cathy Hunt Heaver who was in our class and attending many re-unions. Sister Nancy is residing in Powell, Ohio. Lauri was a lovely young lady who moved to Naples, Florida years ago. She took care of her father for years. I valued her expertise as a seam stress while in Naples Reason why I am sharing is that our community in Boardman, had so many fine families that made all of us strong in so many ways that we probably really will never be aware of. The Heaver family was one of those families that added to our community in so many positive ways that we might never realize or think about. I can also say the same about so many other classmates, parents, and siblings. Could write a book. What a wealth of knowledge we all have because we knew the siblings/families of many of our classmates. Cathy Heaver, our classmate, along with her family members, was one of our classmates which made Boardman High School such a great experience for all.
Just thought I would share my thoughts.

Such a lovely tribute to Alice. So nice to hear all that she has accomplished in life. I remember her class pictures at West Blvd. Elementary school. She was always so cute in those pictures. Such an easy carefree life back then. Alice lived on the street behind me. That was in the days when everyone played outside and enjoyed the neighborhood. My thoughts and prayers are with her family.
