Leslie Nolan McCarthy

While in college won a prestigious Capitol Hill internship with Cong. Steny Hoyer and stayed on the Hill for more than 10 years after that...last with former Rep. Tom McMillen, who played for the old Washington Bullets! Have been an executive branch employee since then..now 12 years at the NASA Goddard Institute for Space Studies in Manhattan as the Assistant Chief for Outreach. Came to NY in 1996 on leave to work on a Congressional campaign for then candidate Carolyn McCarthy (NY-4 --still in Congress!), started dating her son, went back to MD, kept dating him, then got engaged and moved to NY, where we got married and have lived since. Our kids are Denis, 10 and entering sixth grade, and Grace, 8, entering fourth grade. Makes me wish Buckingham was still there to show them where I went to elementary school all those years ago!!
