Norman Pinola

Spent time in the Navy as an electrician, after graduation. Attended an electronics school and worked for Univac (later Unisys) in the Boston area (living in Plymouth) for 32 years. Early retired and moved to Alabama in 2001 to be near the grand kids. Started my own business as a handyman and finally retired for good to be the primary caregiver for my 98 year old Mother-in-Law. My wife and I will eventually move somewhere between North Carolina and Alabama to have best access to all the grand kids.

Technically, I never graduated. I had cap and gown in hand when I found out that my date to begin Navy boot camp, the day after graduation, had a travel day preceding it (the day of graduation). The principal said the Navy would have to wait, and we know who won that argument, don't we. I did, however, attend my graduation at the electronics school I attended in 1970. And surprisingly enough, finished first in my class. A somewhat better showing than the C average I was generously alotted at BHS. I guess, I finally grew up (a family to support might have had something to do with it as well).
