Going to auctions; Playing cards (especially ROOK) with children, especially grandchildren, traveling, visiting friends, Researching antiques, getting ready for Christmas singing OH, and talking. Going to watch soccer and baseball games.

2000 went to Holy Land, Went on an archeological dig, fell (gracefully) off the mountain, but was able to contine the rest of the trip.

Lots of traveling with Antique Collectible business. Stay very busy.

Visited most of the north and southeastern states; also Miss., Tenn, AK, AL, went to Calif. Later traveled to Hawaii Great Britain, Jordan and Israel. Hope to visit other states in U.S.

Sharon was originally married to Paul Acton. Paul was killed in the fall of 1966.After graduation, I worked in Washington D.C. for 2 ½ years at George Washington University Hospital in Pharmacy Dept. Went to college part time at night. Then went to St. Mary’s College in St. Mary’s City for a year. While there, our college choir went on a tour – went to New York City to sing at World’s Fair; Williamsburg, VA and Virginia Beach. In 1965, Paul Acton and I got married – David was born in 1966; Paul was killed in the fall of 66. I worked at Statler Hilton Hotel in D.C. and then in the Pentagon. On June 1st of 1967, I married Eddy; he adopted David. We had 2 more sons. I decided to stay home to raise them since by then Eddy was retired from Alexandria Police Department and we went to live in Callao VA in the Northern Neck! Stayed there for 9 years; then moved into present home in 1978. Lost my grandfather, mother and Eddy’s Dad within 18 months of each other. Plus 15 other members of the family !! 1988 – I went back to college at VCU in Richmond – where I graduated with a BS degree in Substance Abuse Counseling. Worked in Richmond for a number of years. We now have 6 booths in an Antique Store.
