What did you always want to do that you haven't done yet?

Go to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, catch a "Grander" Marlin, pet it, then let it safely swim away with the sincere appreciation that I didn't kill it & hang in my work shop;

High points of your life since high school?

Pretty much everything.

Any vices?

Smoking, Drinking, Cursing, Fishing, Gambling....Holy mother, this ain't good.

What would we be surprised to know about you?

When I think of something, I'll let you know.....

What's your favorite memory of GPHS?

I guess when I finally scored a goal in Soccer, I was always a goalie my whole life, and always wanted to know what it felt like to score a goal.

BIGGEST thing you would do differently if you went back to our time at GPHS.

Would not have started smoking.

Famous or interesting people you've met?

Jimmy Johnson, former Dallas Cowboys coach, was in the dockside bar in Islamorada, FL in roughly 2006. Unbeknowst to us, he was in the booth behind us, exaggerating and pumping himself up with his 3 (very young and attractive) lady guests about how much of a fisherman he was, and how each time he caught a fish, he'd instruct his mate (paid helper) to strip off and replace all the fishing line on that rod, now matter if it was brand new. (Which, by the way, is really stupid...) We were listening and began ridiculing him over the partition , saying "what a tool box that guy is, he must be really trying to lie these women into his bed..." Along with laughing at his ever-increasingly unbelievable lies and fishing stories, laughing our face off.
One of us got up and went to the can, and noticed on the way back who it was sitting behind us......
So I got up & walked over to confirm this, Jimmy's body gaurd (didn't even see him coming) suddenly is standing between me and his booth (which was filled with smoking-hot-jail-bait chicks and Jimmy Johnson.)
Jimmy was cool about it, we introduced ourselves, the body gaurd realized I had no poor intentions with his boss, backed away (still giving me the "stink-eye").
I guess the moral of the story is his hair.....It's true what they say about his hair....It's either made of wood, fiberglass, or some new space-age polymer. Not one hair was out of place and it was done-up just like on TV.

Cool things you've done?

In 1994, was a passenger on a 40 foot wooden boat, with single engine 300 horse Cummins Diesel, on a 3 day offshore trip. We went 101 miles offshore at one point, I caught a 70 pound yellowfin tuna. On the last day we rode home in a 40 knot gale (Heading West, into a NorthWesterly wind), in 20-25 foot seas, for 80 miles.

It is unbelievable what the ocean can look like in a storm, absolutely unbelievable. No visible sea state, green-raked-blowing-foam.

It took 12 hours to get close enough to the beach where the seas calmed to under 10 feet tall, then another 7 hours to get back to the Indian River Inlet.
Along the way, it felt as if the boat was about to roll-over twice.
Twice that day, I made my peace with God. No Shit, I swear.
After a day like that, every day in the rest of your life is pure gravy.

How do you see yourself in 10 years?

Almost retired, driving a 46 foot Ocean Super Sport or a Viking Sportfisher.
Winning a million dollars in the offshore fishing tournaments.

Who is the best class to graduate from Gwynn Park?

Class of 1990!
