Right after high school I went to Branson and spent one season as a vocalist/keyboardist in one of the shows. After the season ended, I began training to be a ballroom dancer. I now live in Orlando, Florida and have been teaching and competing here since I was 20. I have a very beautiful daughter...Victoria Jo. During my ballroom competition years, I placed eighth nationally and won a few southeastern regional comps, as well as one in Cancun. I started college at 30 to prepare for a second career. Three years ago I decided to close my dance studio and focus on an honor's undergraduate thesis. I went on to grad school and earned my master's in Anthropology/Ancient Maya Studies Track in August 2009.
School Story:
My best friend Vanessa McFadden and our boyfriends (Paul and Steve '90) who were also best friends went on a canoe trip on the river under the Tenkiller Lake dam. I have been away for so long that I forgot the name of the river. I also carry the memories of being in the BA Pride close to my heart, and boy-oh-boy have the lessons that I learned in that organization carried me through some hard times!!!
