School Story:
Bob Napierala thought his girlfriend Carol was cheating on him with her college professor. He asked me to go with him and help embarass the professor. When we got to the school parking lot, Carol's car was there and I said it was too bad we didn't have a key. Well, Bob did have a key. We opened the car and the hood to make it look like it was broken into.When she came out with the professor, he acted like a super hero and told Carol to stand back and let him investigate. Bob and I were dying laughing behind another vehicle. Carol asked him if he heard somebody laughing. She swore she heard somebody laughing. This guy might as well had a S on his shirt which us laugh all the harder. Then he mentioned that they should call the cops. All of a sudden it wasn't all that funny. We jumped out from behind the truck we were hinding behind. The professor had his hands up like Mohammad Ali and he was going to defend her. Carol stopped him and mentioned she knew these two assholes. He was pissed. The year 1968 and the professor never walked her to her car again. Mission accomplished.
I had a 1967 Plymouth Belvedere the same as the cops. I always wore a leather jacket and at night the cops on Bailey would wave to me. I was with my girl and we went looking for Bob Napieral and his girl Carol. They were making out in her car and were parked under this big tree on the darkest part of the street. I let you fill in the blanks. My old man left his captain's hat and flashlight in my car. I told my date to stay down and I pulled my car up next to theirs and put the flashers on. I put my father's captains hat on and grabbed the flashlight and walked over to the car and tapped on the window. All I heard was Carol yelling --- Bob get off it's the cops. They almost shit until they realized it was me. Forty years later and I still laughing at that story. The above incidents should of been part of the Hollywood Knight's movie and I could have been Newbomb Turk.
I remember one of the teachers saying to me that Kensington would end up being some of the best years of my life. I thought he nuts at the time. But the fun I had for those four years have never been topped. Besides, I hate being old.
