Went off to WSU after high school and had lots and lots of fun. Took a semester off from school and participated in the college program at Disney World. What fun!! I then went back a year later for the summer and drove down from Washington. What a great way to see the U.S. Kansas is quite flat. I finished out my senior year and graduated from WAZZU in 93.

I then came home to Skagit County searching for a job for about 8 months. An oppurtunity came up and I started my first convenience store with 6 other partners, which later turned into four stores. We eventually sold the first one to a partner of ours, and then the remaining partners wanted out of the partnership so we sold two of the three stores left. The two of us remaining partners decided to keep the best one and worked that store for another 7 years. We had no intention of selling the store, but a year and a half ago someone came and offered us the right price and didn't hesitate to sell the final store in September of 2006.

We were engaged that following November and chose tog et married outside of Skagit County. What better place than Vegas. We were married on the Pirate Ship at Treasure Island. What a blast!! We came home to Skagit County to settle in and sold my house in Mount Vernon in June and lived with our parents while we were building our dream home next to the family homestead. If you can make it through living with your parnets you can make it through anything. We moved into the house in November, so we are still getting settled in. We just started to think about putting in some grass and plants. I'm a little tired of looking at dirt. All in all Life is good!
