We wanted to share this inspiring message from one of our former classmate that can't attend.
Dear Fellow Classmates,
It is with deep regret that I will not be with you to celebrate our 50th Reunion. I recall with humility that I hosted our awards banquet upon graduation and was struck then by the depth of talent, potential, and commitment in our achievements and aspirations. Having read through our updated profiles, I am overwhelmed by the depth of our education, trades, professions, careers, and accomplishments; as well as our work in volunteering, mentoring, educating, serving, and parenting (and grandparenting!). Our teachers, parents, educators would be proud of the citizens we are today. We owe them deep gratitude. May we also remember and honor our deceased classmates and sing them to Heaven. To those who have served our country, we salute you and honor you all.
With apologies to all the members of the band, cheerleaders, Sequinettes, and others, here is my recollection of our Fight Song:
Butler High, Butler High, You're the greatest school alive
Give a cheer, loud and clear, to dear old Butler High, Butler High!
Lastly, someone in our past reunions stated very well that we are known as the class who knows how to have FUN. How true! While we have lost Joey Culligan (a true comic and funny friend to all), we still have Bob Geagon and Dick Hartung and John Brough and Barb Camissa and on and on. So, have a ball!
To Rip and Chris and Cathy and Keith and Fred and his team and everyone else who is working on making his spectacular, thank you.
