School Story:

I took Mary Beth King to the prom, where we met the only other guy in the advanced English class which she and I shared, and he and I had matching Sting tuxedos, and unfortunately his date and Mary Beth had identical (and beautiful) green dresses. After we four met, that was the last I saw of Mary Beth King until I took her home.

I used to do katas on the patio out back at my house. I got up to 4th degree in Isshinryu, but gave it up at 44 when my joints started to hurt. Mid 90's, probably around '96-97.

Flying across the Pacific in 1985 to deliver F-4s to South Korea. Selfie while flying the F-4E, me as a First Officer in the Boeing 727, the DC-10 tanker that took us to Hawaii, Guam and tanked us off on our way to Korea. The view out front of the F-4 through the "HUD" at the Pacific.

Half a lifetime on the same motorcycle, a HD Softail, bought August 3rd, 1984 at Goldsboro N.C. 9 days before my 28th birthday. In front of my house in York PA, 18 days before my 56th birthday. Yes, it's the same bike, and those are the same boots.

After landing at Denver in January of 2020. Tom Arkwright filmed the landing and made me laugh as we turned off onto the high-speed taxiway. That green thing in front of me is my "HUD" which lets me fly manually very precisely. It's actually a better pilot than I am at following the charted flight paths.
