Linda Smith Shatto

I moved to Iowa in 1982 and worked for State Farm Insurance for 13 years. I had my own business, 2 Dairy Queens. Then I went to work for a bigger insurance brokerage firm and worked their for 25 years. I now work part time in a boutique in Amana called Yana's. I have worked their for 13 years, just on a part time basis. It's my fun job.
I love being with my grandchildren and watching them grow into beautiful people.
I like to can food, garden and dance. We have a green house, which is lots of fun. My husband is in charge of that.

I remember when I was in High School and had Mr. Barcelona for a teacher, Whitey, who was a student. ( if anyone remembers his first name, I can't think of it.) He was a big African/American guy, who got into a fight with Mr. Barcelona. If I remember right, Mr. Barcelona came over his desk and the two of them started to fight. I don't even remember what triggered the fight. Maybe someone else will. I was really scared. This would have been a minor thing, now a days.
