Dear Classmates,
Thank you for all the Facebook and LinkedIn hook-ups! Reconnecting with all of you has been absolutely fantastic! It is wonderful to see your successes that can be measured in so many ways! And, in the very near weeks, I will be updating both sites. I am and remain, a dedicated Husband, Father, American, Marine and lover of God!
Equally, I was dismayed by so many of our 'mates passing and completely surprised by several. Unfortunately, I cannot make this reunion because my 18 year old daughter had a cyst on her spine removed. While she is doing SUPER, the next several weeks of recuperation take concerted Dad and Mom time. I will miss you all and look forward to the big "5-0" reunion.

6-25-76 EAS from our United States Marine Corps
7-4-76 Celebrate (AND I DO mean C-E-L-E-B-R-A-T-E) our country's Bicentennial; one week after my discharge)
8-23-76 Start at Voplex, a plastics part manufacturer on North Street (across from Mobil Foam) in our Canandaigua
11-10-79 Promoted to a White-Collar position at Voplex
6-25-86 Earn my AAS from Community College of the Finger Lakes
7-4-88 Promoted to Voplex Corporate Headquarters in Pittsford New York
2-24-89 First day in Voplex new corporate headquarters in Troy Michigan (the only person of 125 that accepted the transfer).
10-19-91 Married to a fantastic women : Cindy - (last year of her medical residency)
12-7-91 Voplex files bankruptcy(Yup - Pearl Harbor Day) What a crime those assholes committed, in such a short time, to such a neat, 100+ year old company!
1-16-92 I lose my job, after 16.5 years (the same day: my mother loses her 2nd leg to Diabetes;
my father is diagnosed with skin cancer on his nose; Metro Detroit gets a 16" Snow Storm).
3-16-92 I start my new job with United Technologies Automotive.
6-26-96 Earn my BBA in Marketing- Magna Cum Laude
2-24-97 We bring home our two (2) adopted children from Russia after six (6) weeks and thousands of miles of travel; non-siblings-----in-fact 11 hour train
ride (each way) apart. Katie @ 19 months and potty-trained (NOT); Alex at 45 months. Both are later to be diagnosed with ADHD and my son
with ADD as well.
4-14-99 Move into the house where we are living now.
5-9-99 UTA is sold to Lear.
6-25-99 Earn my MBA- Summa Cum Laude.
11-23-03 Earn my Certified Purchasing Professional (CPP) designation
6-10-10 Earn my Certified Purchasing Professional Lifetime Certified (CPPlc) designation (essentially means - no more requalifing-testing)
7-28-06 Lear offers a fantastic early "retirement" package (1 week shy of my 51st b.d.; I had grey hair and was over 50---a definite death posture in Lear) but,
structured in as an annuity format/timeframe (i.e. collect @ 58.5 years of age).
8-2-06 Land my first contract job through Housel Consults, LLC = year's gig as COO of a small company.
9-5-06 Started the job referenced above; have a great pool / escape complex in the backyard thus wanted to spend time with my kids.
9-5-08 Started another contract job; another COO of a small company.
8-31-09 Cindy has a stroke; THANK GOD it has no long-term affects!!!!!!!
1-1-11 Re-open Housel Consults, LLC for consulting; business is ok; a lot of TRW work.
6-11-12 Son graduates High School; is a CAD "engineer" by education and works two jobs.
8-9-12 Son is accepted in local community college; Dad makes him quit one of the jobs.
9-5-12 Daughter starts senior year of high school; pursuing Health Care.
9-14-12 Land consulting gig for the State of Michigan = good until December; postpones continued investigation of B2B franchise.
12/2/2012 Sign contract with Sense Aide to be Business Development Executive
