Ron Haider was my closest and dearest friend throughout our young lives. He lived through the block from me and we shared in nearly all of the experiences of youth:.Hunting, reloading ammunition, trapping, fishing, tying fishing flies, working on cars and many other things. At 17 we both joined the National Guard attending Basic Training at Ft. Ord, CA and Advanced Individual Training at Ft. Sill, OK. He was also the best man at our wedding, and even though we went separate ways after that I always intended Ron to speak at my funeral. It truly saddens me that he left this world before me. I loved him like a brother. MORRIS WOOD
