Michael Rex Hulet

 

Our loving husband, fa­ther, grand­father, and son, Michael Rex Hulet, died at home surrounded by his fam­ily on November 29, 2011. Mike was born on Novem­ber 19, 1943 to Rex J. & Lois Cripps Hulet in Cedar City, Utah. He was raised mainly in Cedar City, spend­ing time in Modena, Sum­mit, and Flagstaff, AZ.

He married his high­school sweetheart, Barbara Twitchell on November 27, 1964. They had five chil­dren; Curtis, Scott, Michelle, Marrit, and a stillborn son Travis.

 Mike was a faithful mem­ber of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He was the best meatcut­ter in town. He worked at Keith’s Westside and later Mike’s Bestway for most of his life. He also worked at Lin’s in Cedar City and Harmon’s in Sandy before retiring to Cedar City to be near his family.

 Mike loved spending time with his family. He enjoyed riding four-wheelers, camp­ing, hunting, golfing, and working in his yard.

 He is survived by his wife Barbara; his sons Curtis (Ranon) Hulet of Cedar City, UT, Scott (Lindy) Hulet of Bunkerville, NV; daughters Michelle (Shawn) Glover of Cedar City, UT and Marrit (Kirt) Rosenlof of Payson, AZ; father Rex Jones Hulet of Cedar City, UT; brother Paul Hulet of Grantsville, UT; sister-in-law Donna Hu­let of Enoch, UT and sister Patricia (Craig) Anderson of Bunkerville, NV; Grand­children Greyson, Reagan, Crissy (Walker), Nathan, Jaymie, Kyler, Kody, Kam­ree, Parker and Brooklynn.

He was preceded in death by his loving mother Lois; brother Robert; sister Marsha Leeder; and his son Travis.

 Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 2, 2011 at 11:00 am at the Equestrian Point Ward, 370 North, 4050 West, Cedar City. A viewing will be held on Thursday, December 1, 2011 from 5:00-7:00 pm at the Southern Utah Mortu­ary, 190 North 300 West, Cedar City, and preced­ing the services on Friday, from 9:30-10:30 am at the Equestrian Point Ward. In­terment will be at the Cedar City Cemetery under the direction of Southern Utah Mortuary. Online condolences can be sent to www.sumortuary.c­om.
