The past 15 years have flown by. It really hits me how long it's been when I look at my son and see him doing all the high school activities I use to do. I can't believe how quickly he's grown; he turns 16 in July and can't wait to drive, has a part time job, and has started talking about his own life plans for when he graduates. It feels a little crazy and I definitely feel way to young to be dealing with teenagers : ).

The past 15 years brought marriage, more kids, and a couple bachelor degrees in Computer Information Systems and Business Management. I now work as a Technology Risk Consultant where I'm lucky to work with a variety of corporations and people. My free time (ha ha...as if there is "free time" once you become a parent) is spent volunteering with the Girl Scouts and spending time with the family, especially in the outdoors doing anything from watching whales, to camping, to hiking Havasupai falls, to four-wheeling in the desert. There's never enough time in the day to do all the things I want to. Thank goodness for tomorrows.

Remember how the bats use to migrate to Cedar High? Bats use sonar, but the sonar (according to the the guys) went right through all the big hair that was so popular in Cedar....which means the girls thought a bat could get stuck in their hair. I remember sitting in Geometry with a bat hanging in the corner. The teacher trying to keep the focus, but before long the bat was awake and flying around the room....girls shreeking and ducking to protect their hair.....guys whooping it on....the teacher repeatedly telling us to calm down.....and around and around the room the bat went. Until one of the guys hit the bat in mid-air with a book, sending the bat sailing across the room. The teacher gave up after that and sent the class to lunch early. :)
