Before I start telling you about myself, do you think it would be too much to ask JoAnn, Dan, Janet and Garth to delay the reunion a year or so, until I have time to have plastic surgery? I need a granny job (tummy tuck and breast augmentation). Also, I hear they are giving facials with bird poop in LA, so I would like to have that procedure before the reunion as well. Oh, and by the way, I also need to hit the tanning booth. I have always been interested in physical fitness and I run 6 or 7 days a week. Actually, maybe thats more aspirational, I haven't ran more that 10 feet for around 30 years. By our 50th Reunion, I was hoping to be exceedingly wise and exceedingly sure of myself, a sage, and pretty much a legend in my own time... oh well, I guess that might take more than a year from now.

Here is what has actually happened: The most important part of my life is spending time with my family. I am married to Bill McBean who was a journalist in Denver for many years. He is now writing a book about his father, WWII, and the effects of PTSD on family members after the war. We have four children: Tassha Cullin who is married to Hugh and they live in Denver as well. They have 3 children, an 11 year old, 8 year old and a 5 year old. Our daughter Heather and her husband Larry live in Cambridge, MA and have 3 children who are 13, 10 and 5 years old. Nickie and her husband Nader Nejat have 2 children and they live in San Carlos, CA. Our son Alex and his wife Charlotte live in Bountiful, UT with their 3.5 kids (one is on the way). I am lucky enough to have 11.5 wonderful grandchildren and I truly love being a Grandmother.

I also have 2 border collies that I am absolutely crazy about. One of my friends mentioned that I was brought up by border collies and that could explain why I love to work a lot and run around all of the time.

I am a clinical psychologist in the Denver area. I started a clinic in the early 80s and feel very privileged to own my own building near downtown Denver. I was lucky enough to choose a property during an economic depression in Denver. On my street there used to be newspapers and tumbleweeds all over the place. Now it is one of the hippest corners in the city with dozens of excellent restaurants nearby.

In addition to my profession as a clinical psychologist, I have also had the opportunity to work with my husband in the real estate business. I gained a huge amount of knowledge and great stories from owning different properties and having been a landlord for many years. As my husband (the New Yorker) says, "Once you've been a landlord long enough, you pretty much hate everyone".

I love spending my free time outside, especially in the beautiful mountains. I have wonderfully pleasant memories of summers spent in the mountains near Cedar City. I feel like a lot of my personality was formed by living on a ranch, and the closeness to families who were ranchers and farmers. They were honest, genuine and hard working people. This taught me a great deal about using ones talents and giving to other people.

I am so grateful for many of the wonderful things I gained by being brought up in Southern Utah. I feel fortunate to have been brought up near the University and the close relationships I have with people in my neighborhood and ward. I also enjoy reading in my free time. Both of my parents were great readers and that is one of the greatest gifts they passed on to me.

I have lost both of my parents and I miss them more every day. I also lost my beloved sister, Brenda in 2006 and I am still reeling from that. One of the saddest things about life is how much distance 50 years can create in close friendships. The concerns of everyday life have overrun my ability to keep in touch with many people. I feel it is sad to be parted from so many people that I love so much and learned so much from. I had so much fun with many of you. I am grateful for good health and the opportunity to have had an abundant life of deep emotional experiences and the opportunity to have intimate relationships with people from many walks of life.

By the way, I am really enjoying reading everyone's bios which will one day be our obits... Our poor children won't have the energy to write them for us having spent all of their time pushing us around in wheelchairs and changing our Depends. I understand that our class, class of 1963, had the highest scores on the SAT's to this date... Since then, the scores have gone way down. None of our children could write an obit as elegant, tasteful, sophisticated or classic as the ones we have so gracefully prepared for ourselves.

This is all that I have to say for now because I am exhausted from not sleeping all night but I am positive I will have more to say by Friday.

I know that some of you knew my sister well. Here is a link to the touching obituary that my husband wrote: http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=26233014
