Karrie Johnson White

Time has been flying by since 1989 - I attended Lake Superior State University for four years and graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration/Marketing. I met my husband at college and got married rate after graduating college. Shortly after that I began working for the State of Michigan in Mackinaw City as a manager of the Travel Information Center and still to this day love my job. My husband has worked for the City of Cheboygan Police Department for about 15 years. He also was the varsity wrestling coach for Cheboygan High School for over 10 years. This year he retired from that position to spend more time with his family. My husband and I waited almost 6 years before we started our family. Then we had Macie and a few years later we had Myia. They are both great kids - they love to play basketball and softball. We also enjoy camping and boating on the inland waterway all summer long. I also work a part-time job with Partylite candles. Because of this company I have earned free vacations for many years that my husband and I can enjoy and relax. We have been to Hawaii (twice), Aruba (twice), Bahamas (twice), Cruise (twice), Los Cabos, and Cancun on all expense paid trips. We are hoping to return to Cancun this year if all goes well. We are currently hoping to build a new home in the near future on 21 acres that we purchased in Cheboygan a while back. Life is great and my family is happy - what more could we ask for!!!!

I remember when times were not as strict and we didn't get in trouble for mindless acts etc...... John Deroshia, Jill and I were driving and partying at the same time (not good) when we were heading towards Mackinaw City and John had to stop and use the facilities on the side of the road of course. As this was happening a car pulled up behind us which of course was the officers of the law. They proceeded to lecture us and pull out beer can after beer can and set it on top of the roof of my car. Wow - I think we had at least a case up there - after they confiscated our alcoholic beverages they let us go. WOW! How lucky were we??????

I remember having to call my mom on an exam day because of getting called into the office to stand on a chair and measure my bermuda shorts which were 1/2 inch to short and had to wait for another pair of pants before I could go and take my exams.

Remembering the beginning days of basketball practice with Mugs Olson when we would have to run so much that we would have to go in an throw up before we could continue our sprints.
