I will never forget what a warm likable person Nancy was. She was quite the athlete. Nancy was an amazing volley ball player. I am sure she is missed by many.

I don't know if Mr. and Mrs. Pardini had the Frank Sinatra classic song, "Nancy with the Laughing Face," in mind when they named their little baby girl or not.  I do know the Nancy I knew and loved had a wonderful smile and loved to laugh.  She also loved volleyball, cheerleading, Chicago Cubs, swimming and on and on.  She graduated from University of Illinois, with a BS in Psychology.  Following graduation we were Caseworkers together on the west side of Chicago for the Cook County Deptartment of Public Aid.  What an education that was.  She had an old car that could not make left hand turns but it got us to work and back.  One day when she was out in the field someone stole the car.  They didn't get very far.

Following this Nancy and Jim (class 1959) traveled in Europe for n extended period of time.  After returning Nancy taught English as a second language to adults.  Following the diagnosis of Multiple Sclerosis Nancy begame involved in showing and breeding dogs.  I think the specific breed was Wheaton Terriers but I may be wrong.  The MS for many years failed to slow her down.  She continued to participate in various volleyball leagues and showing her dogs and traveling to warm places in the winter.

Nancy and I became friends in sixth grade.  We went to high school and college together.  I stood up to her wedding and she stood up to mine.  I loved her and miss her dearly.  She was more than a best friend she was a mentor in many ways.  I wish I could see her laughing face.
