Started in the movie business in 1965 at Universal Pictures in Cincinnati for Al Kolkmeyer, Jack's dad. Still in the biz 51 years later....yikes.
Spent 4 years in the Navy as a cryptologist. I was stationed on the USS Liberty, an intelligence gathering ship. www.ussliberty.org We were strafed & torpedoed by the Israeli's on the 4th day of the 6 day war, June 8, 1967. 34 shipmates were killed and 174 wounded out of a crew of 296. It was an honor to have served with these men. The next 2 1/2 years I was in Bremerhaven, Germany working as a Navy CT and playing in a band on weekends.
