Graduated from Cal Poly Pomona in 1964 and went on active duty in the Navy as a Naval Flight Officer flying on and off the aircraft carriers USS America and the USS Saratoga in early warning and fighter aircraft. In 1968 returned to CA, earned an MBA at Cal State Long Beach and conitinued work in the petroleum, commercial appraisal, and computer industries with a two year stint with Amtrak. Earned an MA and PhD at Claremont Graduate School in Executive Management in 1986. Adjunct professor at Pepperdine and Univ. of Redlands and retired July 31, 2009 from a major wireless provider. We own a full-size railroad sleeping car that we have built into a travel business with trips to Chicago, Seattle and Boston.

Carol, my wife of 48 years, and I have five grandchildren located in No. California and Kentucky. We have enjoyed having most of them along on train trips across country.
