I went through Fairfax and Roxboro Jr. High and spent one year at Heights High. I would have graduated with the Class of '69, but my family moved to Kansas City in the summer of '67. I was big on French and theater during my years in Cleveland Hts., but ended up being a Spanish major in college and got advanced degrees in Spanish. In 1978 I met my wife Berta (who is from Ica, Peru) and we moved to Madison in '79. I taught in the Spanish and Portuguese Dept. here for 42 years, but retired in May 2021.
