After I graduated from Kenyon College, I worked as a carpenter in LA for a year. I moved back to Cleveland and worked for an architectural firm for two years. From 1976-1979 I attended two Episcopal seminaries(in NYC and Boston), graduating with an M.Div. In 1979 I married my college sweetheart, Lynda Bernays. I served as a chaplain at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Hospital in NYC for a year. I then served as the Rector of an urban Episcopal parish in Astoria, Queens for ten years. We have two children; son Alex, born in 1983 and daughter Sarah, born in 1988. We moved back to Cleveland (Shaker Heights) in 1990 and I served as an Associate Rector at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Cleveland Heights(my childhood church)for six years. Lynda and I divorced in 1996. I exited the priesthood in 1996 and worked for Plantscaping for a year. I landed my current job as Director of Admissions for Judson Retirement Community in 1997. I married Becky Snider (a fellow Sunday School teacher at Trinity Cathedral)in 2002 and moved to Cleveland Heights - we are now living three blocks from the High School. I received a Master of Non Profit Organizations from Case Western Reserve (a non-profit version of an MBA) in 2000. I retired from Judson, in December of 2017, after 20 years. We enjoy travelling, gardening, visiting family and friends, working on various charitable projects, many kinds of music, cooking and good books. We have three grandsons; Henry William Fuller (Hank) born in March, 2016 and Peter Louis Fuller(Pete) born, January, 2019, and Theodore (Theo) Allen Fullerford, born in June, 2019. In retirement I am a docent at the Cleveland Museum of Art. It is an absolute joy to take school age children around the museum!

Dear Louise,
Bill Fuller here. We missed you. I am so sorry for your two losses. I can't imagine the death of a grandson. As a grandparent, I am so mindful of the joy and hope our young grandsons bring into our lives. To have that hope and joy cut off must be excruciating. You and your family are very much in my thoughts and prayers. It seems as if we are entering a chapter of life where we will encounter many new joys as our next generation blossoms and grows, and as many of us move into the joys of retirement. However, we will also experience much sadness as our generation passes on. I find myself seeking fullness rather than happiness. There is much fullness in having loved enough that we feel profound pain at our losses. We are blessed to have had the love. My very best to you.
I think of you often as I drive by your old house when I visit friends on Compton. I loved walking along the paths that I believe your Mom created in the garden on that magical piece of property.
