Comments:

I spent Freshman year at Univ. of Cincinnati. After the Kent incident I moved back home and worked and went to Cleveland State U. In 1973 I went to Europe, Greece and Israel (for the 25th anniversary) I backpacked 11 countries and worked on a kibbutz for 4 months.

Upon return I wound up working in the jewelry business for Rose Jewelers (remember the store with the clock on the floor at Richmond Mall?) which eventually became part of Zales.
Then I worked for J.B.Robinson at their main office in downtown Cleveland for several years, until they were absorbed by Kay Jewelers.
I worked for Dicker & Dicker for another 9 or 10 years until by husband Mike died.
For the next 5 or so years I was a professional closet organizer and home office designer. Great job.
I married my second husband, Jeff, in 2001. It lasted a minute!!!
I now live in N.C. with Fred Rice, who graduated a year behind us. I met him the summer I graduated. We were hot and heavy for about ten days until I left for college. Freshman year we wrote weekly and kept it going long distance for the whole time. We split because of political and religious differences but we've kept in touch. He is an ex marine and a retired fire fighter.
Wait'll you see the 1965 mustang he is refurbishing. We should have it at the reunion.
Here in N.C. I found a job selling . . .you guessed it - fine Jewelry at a company called Reeds. I run into Ohioans all the time since I live in Jacksonville, home of Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune. People here call me Ma'am. (are they speaking to my mother?)
My folks are both still around, living in their home in Shaker. They are in fairly good health but getting fragile.
My brother, Dave and his wife Laura live in Lyndhurst. Dave runs a repair business called "A Fine Fix" as well a being a published song writer and performer.
My daughter, Kim, is 26. She lives in Charleston S.C. and manages a jewelry store. (imagine that!)
She has a great circle of friends who include me in their antics when I visit. She is waiting to announce her engagment to Andrew Miglino, who will be starting on his PHD in February. He's from New York, an environmental engineer.

School Story:

A favorite Heights story involves trying to get to third period hygiene from second period glee-club.
It involved running down one flight of stairs from the Choir Loft to the second floor, running across school to the down-staircase to get to the first floor, running to the center ramp hall to get to the girls gym, and then running up two flights of stairs for hygiene class. And then there was the day Mrs. Lahiff told us girls to go home and "count our holes".

Another junior year funny story involved getting a very large senior named Charlie Hawkins to menacingly approach Frank Eilberg in the hall and pat him on the head. (pay back for patting me on the head all the time) When I questioned Frank about it later that evening he informed me that he wasn't in school at that time. My sincere apologies to whoever was patted and probably still has nightmares.

Remember watching All Quiet on the Western Front? I passed my time by getting Harley Berger to show me how to work the projector. That talent got me a job as a summer camp councelor.

I have great memories of the big band dances on friday nights at Cain Park. Afterwords, my folks always invited my friends over for lemonade and donuts. I could never tell who would be at my house when I got there. Sometimes there were 20 kids. Of course the musicals were the best. My best summer tans were developed listening to rehearsals. We were lucky to have a venue like that right in our "hood". Cain Park hosted Tony Dow, and Rusty Hamer and Jenny Smith, Paul Peterson and Dion to name a few. I kept the autographed programs for a long time.

I remember getting Royal Castle burgers for "a nickle, a dime, and a penny"? And their frosty mugs of birch beer - yum.
