OMG too soon for any of our class to die.  Mitchell was serious, that is the way I remember him, very bright and kind.

Mitch and I were clarinetists in the Heights orchestra and band. He constantly made jokes and cracked me up in rehearsals. He was like Groucho!

In the opening of An American in Paris our unison clarinets were brilliant and I remember Director Bergantino looking up from his score to look at us directly.

Mitch taught me to relax and have fun performing - to lighten up, and let the music lighten us up in return. I look forward to seeing Mitch again in the big orchestra in the sky.

Mitch was the best!

I have great memories of him from the music department.
