I graduated from the University of North Dakota in 2003 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mathematics. I played two years of softball with the Fighting Sioux team before ultimately deciding to give it up after a hip injury kept me in physical therapy everyday.
After college I got a job at Lands' End while I was looking around for my career job. Then I got a job as an Office Administrator at the Valley Cartage Trucking Company in Hudson, WI. That didn't last long as about a few months later I was contacted by my current employer. Finally, I found my career job where I could use my Mathematics Degree. All that hard math work in college finally paid off.
I have been working for four years now at Werner Electric Supply Minnesota as a Pricing & Contract Analyst. It's hard to describe my job but basically I deal with numbers, percentages, and margins all day which as a math lover I do enjoy that. My job used to be in Minneapolis but much to my surprise a year ago my employer built it's own building where of all places? COTTAGE GROVE! Unbelievable, I just can't get away from this place, J/K. But, it was kind of funny seeing as how I grew up here and never would have expected them to have picked good ole Cottage Grove as the site for the new building when they began looking for one in 2006.
One of the perks to my job is I've gotten to go to some great destinations because of Pricing Conferences. They've sent me off to Las Vegas & Scottsdale, Arizona. Fun times!!!
I currently live in my beautiful, quiet townhouse in Woodbury, MN. Another great thing about the move is that I don't have to deal with the stupid traffic anymore. My drive to work is a breeze now.
I am a huge Minnesota Twins fan as I always have been. Love to go watch Justin Morneau and Joe Mauer. I have season tickets!!! One of my favorite things to do is go to a ball game and watch them play.
Still can't believe it's been 10 years since graduation. :D
