One day I need to take the time to find the auditorium chairs for which Sophie donate money for their restoration. Was at the 25th reunion and she was so impressed that the building was being cared for and still so actively used by the school and community. Just found out her neice..brother's daughter attend our church..had a nice chat with her. She took her 2 boys to visit Sophie the day before she passed. Told me that Sophie doted on her nieces and nephews.

Such a great memory about the stamps from Poland, Tom, and to think you still have them after all these years is so special. I remember when they first came to St. Mary's from Poland and I sat in the library with Sophia helping her with her English and learning how to read. I feel such a closeness to our St. Mary's classmates and she will be missed tremendously.

Sophia and I had gym together our last years at High School. We had so much fun together in that class. I will miss her so much. Janet   PS Connie, the chair was dedicated to her sister-in-law Ruth Froelich.

It seems that Sophia, Mary Lasek and Sandra Wieski were always with us! Now it is a beautiful story to relate to, as we were too young to understand their struggles during WWII. Sure would like to hear again the wonderful memory read when Mrs.Lasek passed away.

Such sweet memories shared, thanks to all.  Sandy
