Wow, 25 years. Is that right? I sure don't feel my age. I'm still working at State Farm after all this time. I also coach gymnastics at my daughter's gym while she is training. She competes with a trampoline team and got 4th and 1st place at her first meet last month. She's been tumbling for several years and recently joined the team. Before then, she was on a competition cheer squat that eventually went to nationals. She is an honor roll student and really enjoys school. Up until a couple of months ago, Sydney took acting classes as well and was taught by Cody Linley of Hannah Montana and his mother. After reaching the masters level, she decided to concentrate on trampoline.
Shortly after moving to Texas in 1998, I dusted off my tennis racket and joined a USTA (summer) and metro (spring and fall) tennis team. We travel the Dallas area to play other teams. I play mixed doubles in USTA tournaments as well. Fortunately, the Texas weather allows year round tennis. I am also an Advocare distributor, this is a company that sells awesome health and wellness products. For the past several years I have designed, made, and sold jewelry. Over time I've built up a nice supply which I sell in a shop in Dallas. I do custom pieces for people as well.
One of the blessing for me in moving to Texas is how open people are with their faith. It has allowed me to grow in my relationship with God. Across Dallas are billboards, some with recognizable faces, others that aren't, that simply state 'I Am Second' which of course directs you to www.iamsecond.com. I just spent the last 1 1/2 hours viewing this site and listening to the stories people have shared. I hope you are able to take the time to listen as well so that you too may be touched.
My husband works for State Farm as well and has been there for 11 years. He races his BMW M3 and gets to put his car on various tracks. His latest run was at Watkins Glen in New York.
