Lynne Bryant Sullivan

Lynne (née Bryant) Sullivan, age 72, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away on Friday, December 8, 2017, at Oldorf Hospice House, Hiawatha. Funeral Mass: 10 AM on Monday, December 11, 2017, at All Saints Catholic Church, Cedar Rapids, by Reverend John R. Flaherty. Visitation: one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial at a later date: GlendaleCemetery, Des Moines. Arrangements by Stewart Baxter Funeral & Memorial Services, Cedar Rapids.

Survivors of her wonderful family include: son, Jim Sullivan; siblings, Ann (Mike) Webb, Joan (Jim) Friberg, Nancy (Fred) Kindgren, and John (Marcie) Bryant; eleven nieces and nephews; several great-nieces and –nephews; a wealth of many friends she cherished and who cherished her; and extended family members. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Lynne Mary Bryant was born September 22, 1945, in Los Angeles, California, to John and Imelda (Murphy) Bryant. She attended St. Joseph Academy in Des Moines, graduating in 1963. She earned her Bachelors of Science degree in 1967 at Clark College. Lynne worked as a Chemist with Swiss Valley, Land O’Lakes, and the University of Iowa labs, where she retired from. Lynne’s favorite and most recent job was caring for babies and preschool children, where she was known as Miss Lynne.

She belonged to many church groups and prayer circles and enjoyed playing bridge and mahjong. Lynn enjoyed gifts with Irish themes, and had many artistic talents, including glass art, painting, and window crafts.
