Our 50th reunion has come and gone and what a wonderful reunion it was!  Friendships were renewed and many memories were exchanged.  I received many snapshots from both Friday and Saturday nights of the reunion and also from the informal get-together at the home of Margaret Ann (King) Comito on Saturday morning.  Those pictures are now uploaded onto the Shutterfly website and I have ID'd people in each photo.  An "invitation" to view the pictures was sent from shutterfly.com to everyone for whom I have an email address.  If you did not receive your email invitation, please go to my profile page here on this website and send me a message which includes your current email address.  Hope you all enjoy looking at the pictures (over 250 of them)!

This site was created to provide a central clearinghouse for classmate information and communication; a coordination central point for all members of Dowling and St Joseph Academy's class of 1963.

 

Participants are encouraged to upload photos; photocopy(s) of the Aquin and the Spectator; and, to fill in their profile information as completely as you might be comfortable with.  These items will make a major contribution to the class history photo essays.  Also, everyone is encouraged to notify fellow members to register with the site.

"Class of 63 Videos"

This tab - 3rd down on the left - contains a link to You Tube; the "Old Dowling" channel.  Click on the tab; then, right click on the link and select "Open in a new tab".  The channel contains playlists of visual photo essays celebrating the history of not only the Class of 1963, but also the history of Dowling from 1916 to 1971. 

At this time, only the "1963 Highlights" and the "Class of 1963 - Long Version" playlists contain material from St Joseph Academy.

A special thanks to Chuck Ill, John McGuire, and John and Candy Brafford for contributing original copies of the Aquin and Spectator covering the 1959-1963 period as these editions are among the many missing from the set(s) currently held in West Des Moines.  And, a special thanks to Barb Kovats (Tuttle) - a much better spellchecker than any piece of cold, heartless computer code.
