Barbara Mary Lamb was born on 3-30-45.  She married Timothy J. Granzeau and they lived in Springfield, Illinois.  Barbara passed away on September 12, 1979 at the age of only 34, reportedly due to cancer.  The following obituary appeared in the Springfield State Journal-Register.

Mrs. Barbara M. Granzeau, 34, of 2325 S. Park Ave. died at 6:55 p.m. Wednesday at St. John's Hospital.

She was born in Des Moines, Iowa, and was the daughter of Chauncey H. and Dorothy L. Smith Lamb.  Mrs. Granzeau was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, the church League of Women's Affairs, the Citizen's Advisory Commission of the Desegregation Monitoring Commission, the Urban League and Guild, and the School Facilities Commission for District 186.

Surviving are her husband Timothy J.; two sons, Benjamin Y. and Andrew H., both at home; her mother, Mrs. Dorothy Lamb of Des Moines, Iowa; one brother, Michael Lamb of Miami, Florida.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the First Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Cynthia Cearley officiating.  Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery.
