After school, I moved to Omaha for a couple of years, them back to DSM. Got married on Dec. 7, 1991, had my son in '92, got divorced in '94. Started working @ Chi-Chi's in '92 and met back up with a guy I knew many, many years ago from Diabetic camp, he got me to go back to camp as a counselor again and we started hanging out and dating in June, '93 and have been together ever since. I continued to wait tables over the years and then was in a bad car accident in '97 and was unable to do it anymore, and had some other health issues hit, then unfortunately went on disability in '98 and Troy has taken care of my ever since. I am still able to do everyday things, but standing for extended periods of time and heavy physical activity is pretty difficult for me these days! My son will be 17 in May and graduating next year. His plans after graduation are to go into the Military, Marines are his first choice, and then to college with the GI Bill. He lives with his dad in Illinois, so I don't get to see him as much as I would like, but his dad and I have a pretty good relationship, so we make it work as well as we can! Trooy & I are involved with Ducks Unlimited alot and are both on the Arrowhead Chapter Committee on the southside of DSM. We love to go camping and take our boat out on the river ALL summer long, then to the Ducks Unlimited Great Outdoors Festival in Osh Kosh, WI. in August every year. Our 115lb Chocolate Labredor loves the camping, boating, and DU Fest every year as well. We also spend alot of time with our friends on the weekends too, we love to go the pub and play darts, pool, karoake, dance and enjoy each others company too. I keep busy taking care of the house, the cat, the dog, the half-dozen fishtanks, my health, my scrapbook outtings, and Troy too. So I always usually find something to do, but am always looking for something new and fun to try!!! I'll give ANYTHING a shot at least once in life!!!
