Shortly after graduating, I went straight to work as a hairdresser. I bought my first house at 18, with my own money. I eventually got a job in education, Starting with Joico educating experienced hairdressers for three years, doing a lot of hair shows,leading me to Clairol. I worked for Clairol for 6 years, traveling up and down the east coast. I taught everything from Hair color theory , corrective color, techniques, as well as foiling and placement. I did tons of Hair Shows... too many to count. I did a few shows for Paul Mitchell as well. What a wonderful opportunity! I got the best education from the best of the best. I moved to Richmond Va in 1990.I remained there until I moved to Colonial Heights were I lived about a block from my future husband and didn't even know it. A.J and I met in early 1998. He was so different than anyone I ever met. It was a set up from one of my clients that I refused to date. We married in June of 2000. We remarried in October 2001. We loved each other so much we had to do it twice! A.J. is a Citadel Grad class of 94, so naturally we married in Charleston S.C. on our way down to pick out our new home in Ponte Vedre Beach FL. Absolutely stunning! We eventually ended up in Virginia Beach. I did not like it at first. We have adjusted just fine. We are taking care of A.J.'s dad who is 88.We have a very busy household!!!! I think my best accomplishment has definitely been my boys!My baby sis Lestee has just moved back to Dinwiddie.She is so sweet and is trying to get used to living at home again. She is an absolute dream all of my clients loved her watching their children. She is currently looking for a job as a nanny. She may end up at a daycare. She has worked with me in the salon , as my assistant for three and a half years. If anyone out there needs an assistant, I can assure you she is the best one I've ever had. My sister Bethany hasn't changed one bit! She lives with my Mom and Dad still in Dinwiddie. My sis Sherry is married to Jack Taylor they have 3 beautiful children. Jaycee, Jayden, and Jaysen lee. It makes for a crazy tongue twister around holidays!My best friend Becky Crumpler and I still stay very close. I've found that in this world you only get a few really great friends in life and you should cherish them. I miss all of you. We've all had our ups an downs over the years... But if you keep your head up and believe in the best you can make it through anything. I recently have met up with Rodney Rhodes. We had a great dinner with my family. What a wonderful friend. We found out in conversation that he and my husband had spent time in the military in the same locations at the same time. What a small world it is. I hope to see him again. Ive had trouble with my memory card and I cant upload the photos. I hope you are all doing well and I wish you much success. I will be glad when out real estate market will turn around. Maybe I could have a day off again ! I am confident that our economy will work itself. I know many of us will be praying for our nation and our President. Love you all, Kerry

We all were young and silly. Remember the crazy outfits Greta Nelson and I would wear? I think we should have been arrested! We sure did have fun though! I remember hanging' out with Shawn ahhh.... those were the days. Shawn I love and miss you. Shawn and I went out for Pino and cha-chas, at Taco bell one night. I think she will be the only one who understands that. I remember the time Georgia threw up Jack Daniels in my car. I had to pick it out of the interior & windows with a friggin tooth pick !!! Yes I said toothpick! I threw up like ten times. My Mom kept asking me what I was doing and I just couldn't tell on my buddy. She knew Something was going on, because I kept throwing up. Till this day the smell of Jack Daniels makes me really sick! On a much lighter note, Greta Nelson got married.. to Angel Hernandez.... they have a beautiful baby girl !!!! I just got the new photos of the baby. If anyone out there is reading that silly year book.. We( a group of friends) decided to write really outrageous things in our last will, none of it was true especially what we wrote in the yearbook. We were kids for Pete's sake! Georgia, you know I still will always love you sorry I broke the code of silence. I like your tatoos. Poor Brent Moody and the wicked typing teacher . Ahh the trench coat incident. I know a few people remember that !!!!

Ahh, so many where do I start. I would like to open a home for the homeless, and a battered women's shelter. I will need a lot of money, but if I get in a position where I can help I would definitely do it. I have helped a homeless young man by feeding him, making him take a shower... Yes in my own home, doing his laundry. I eventually helped him go to a homeless shelter here. He got a great job , reunited with his twin sister.( His mother died in childbirth ) I received a call from him two years ago . He is doing great. I know a lot of people were concerned for me at the time . There is no better feeling than giving someone a hot meal, and a good shower!!!! It just touches your soul. I do help the homeless now, I just wish I could do more.
