Joe was a very good friend of mine. Didn't see much of him in recent years, but my memories of him are good ones. His old 51 Ford, during our high school days, gave me memories to last my whole life. Joe was a wild man behind the wheel, but he was a good driver because somehow I'm still here after so many close calls I can't count them. I remember my mother saying, "I don't think that kid is all there", and I'd tell her we're just alike, and she agreed. Rest in Peace my old friend, you were one of a kind...
Good memories of Jim from high school and later years. Rest in Peace, old friend...
Rest in Peace, Jeff. I always enjoyed talking to you whenever we bumped into one another. The years never seemed to wear on you, and you always looked the same as you did in high school. God blessed you, my friend, enjoy eternal happiness...
Jim and Mary Jo were good friends of mine. I feel bad for Mary Jo because I know how much they cared about one another. The loss of my wife was devestating, so I can relate. Jim was always pleasant to be around, and I admired his character. The kind of man you could trust and have fun with. Rest in Peace, Jim, and may God bless your whole family, forever...
As Altar Boys at Nativity Grade School, Bob and I often served mass together. He and I both wanted to be priests at one time, but that changed as we grew older and pretty girls came on the scene for us. I remember him as being very kind, and faithful to his Catholic upbringing. His mother was a beautiful and kind lady, too, and she always guided him in the right direction. Bob listened and stayed out of trouble. Me, not so much. Rest in Peace, old friend...
Doug, Ted, and I all went to school with one another, and I agree with Ted. Doug was a good guy and he certainly died way too young. I had the pleasure of working with Doug's sister at John Deere, and like Doug, she was a very nice person. Rest in Peace my friend...
Pat, was a great guy, and a really fine softball pitcher. Rest in Peace, my friend...
Being your friend meant a lot to me., my dear You were always one of the prettiest girls I knew, too. Rest in Peace, Candy...
One of the funniest guys I've ever met. We had fun anytime we'd meet up with one another. Rest in Peace, Tommy, I know the angels are laughing up a storm by now...
Rest in Peace, old friend...
Rest in Peace, old friend!!! It seemed we could always bump into one another and carry on a conversation as if it was just yesterday, You were a kind and gentle man, and our friendship survived many years. Thank you, and I will say a prayer for you, and for your family... John
I consider Gary to have been a man among men. He would help anyone in need, and his devotion to God and country is what gave him what I refer to as SAVING GRACE. He knew how to spread that grace where it was needed, and he always did what was necessary, continually wearing a comforting smile on his face. Very few men have the traits he had to accomplish great things, and I admired him greatly. He always greeted me with a big hello at St. Columkille Sunday mass, and I miss that now. Rest In Peace, my friend!!!
I would often run into Bev when she worked at Sid's, and we were always up for good ole stories from our past. She was a beautiful woman, inside and outside, and she lived her life on her terms. I loved that about her. God rest your sweet soul, Beverly. You will be missed by many...
Best regards for all eternity; John Myers
Gerhart and I were good friends in high school. He's one I've never forgotten in the 50 plus years since we hung around together. He was very conscientious and wanted everything done with precision. I guess that's why he became a tool and die maker. I want to express my sincere sympathy to his family, and may he REST IN PEACE, with his God, and those who left this earth before him. HE WAS A GREAT GUY!!!
