This picture puts it all into prospective. This is Melissa holding Brett. He was born at 25 weeks of pregnancy, weighed in at 1 lb 12 oz and was 12 1/4 inches long. He was in the NICU for 4 1/2 months. This was him during the 1st week he was born. They did kangaroo care (skin to skin). He was very sick and she wasn't able to hold him for months after this picture was taken.
