I work for the Department of Defense as a civilian. My job is to manage communication equipment for the Army and keep it serviceable so that the soldiers we support are ready for war. I work in Maryland on Aberdeen Proving Ground. My duties include managing a team that processes Modification Work Request for the entire fleet of communications equipment for the U.S. Army.

I have been married since January 1990.

I joined the Army three months after graduating high school and served my country for twenty-one years, seven days. I deployed to Saudi Arabia to participate in Desert Shield/Storm in 1990-1991. I also deployed to Iraq in 2003 and again in 2006 for Operation Iraqi Freedom and once to Afghanistan for Operation Enduring Freedom in 2002. While serving I have lived in Germany, Texas, South Carolina, and North Carolina. I also attended the U.S. Army's Airborne School so I could jump out of perfectly good airplanes. LOL For two years during my service I was an Army Drill Sergeant. Finally I had enough and retired as a First Sergeant from the 82nd Airborne Division at Fort Bragg, NC. Since retirement I have deployed to Afghanistan as a civilian in support of the war effort. My biggest highlight would have to be the birth of my two kids.

I went back to school and received an Associate’s degree, Bachelor’s degree and a Master's degree. It’s never too late to go back to school!

I spend as much time as I can with my family. We vacation as much as possible too. Just relaxing at the house is fine with me. I like to play golf but don't get to go often enough.

Stay positive with every endeavor. Decide to be happy, don't accept anything less.
