James Glenn Bryant

I enjoy playing duplicate Bridge. Also I like hiking in the mountains on sunny days, sitting on the deck and reading on nice days, and taking ocean cruises. I could "retire" and have. I graduated from Oregon State in Mechanical Engineering.
Jobs: Engineer at Hyster Company in Portland for 3 years, then sales engineer for Nalco Chemical in Toledo, OH, for 3 years, then moved to Colorado Springs. Merrill Lynch 3 years, A. G. Edwards stockbroker for 33 years, then Wells Fargo (took us over) for 11 years. Retired in 2017.
Locations: Lived in Portland 3 years, then Toledo Ohio for 3 years, and since then 45 years in Colorado Springs. Now we live wherever the RV is parked. (I've been gone so long from Oregon that the webbed feet and hands are now normal!) But I love to visit Oregon in August when the blackberries are ripe, and often have stayed at the Cedarwood Lodge up in McKenzie Bridge. (I had a fire lookout up on the mountain from McKenzie Bridge for 2 summers when in college.) I really look forward to the reunion and seeing everyone again, assuming I am still breathing for the 60th. Please bear with me as I still haven't been able to learn to use tact!

Give 'em the ax, the ax, the ax...Mr. Daggett in his toga, coming in Saturdays to take verb conjugation tests for Miss Adams French class, Mr. Hale smoking back in his chem lab with the door closed, being a wiseacre and letting Mr. Goodnough know that I was smarter than him (ha), watching football games in wet bleachers and being soaked to the bone, Bob Spect running for office with the slogan "Spect is spectacular!", paper route after school, being a nerd, chess club and playing in state tournament, lunches in the cafeteria, my friend Jim Fite who moved to Oklahoma after 1 year at SEHS (we are still buddies), hitch hiking across the country (God was looking after me), Becky Ruff flying across the stage as Peter Pan.
