Seven years ago I returned from Europe where I had been working for PricewaterhouseCoopers in their Global Capital Markets Group. While based out of London, I got to travel all over Europe and even to Africa for clients and thoroughly enjoyed it. Additionally, while in London, I met my husband, Jeff, who lived in California at the time. Within six months, during one of Jeff's trips to London, we were engaged while on a weekend trip to Ireland. A few months later I returned to the States to be with him.

We returned to Denver to allow me to pursue my PhD at CU Boulder. After being in the program for a year (it is a 5 year program), we had the most wonderful surprise - 9 months later our son, Jackson Connor, was born. Needless to say the PhD program didn't allow enough free time and flexibility for me to handle both the morning sickness and my studies. I picked up a temp job across the street from our house in Broomfield which within a week turned into a full time employment opportunity to become their Controller. I couldn't pass it up! Not only did they allow me to take 3 months off when Jackson was born, they also allowed me to bring Jackson back to work with me. In my office was a nursery for Jackson. When Jackson turned one, my husband, a middle school science teacher, left his position and became a stay at home daddy. The next summer, our second son, Maxwell Logan, was born. They are the joy of my life! Jackson is now almost 4 years and Max turns 2 years old this month. While Jeff stays at home with the boys he continues to work on his music in his home studio. Check him out on iTunes! His band is Conquest MEC and the songs he wrote for me are "Along the River" and "She's Beautiful."

In the Fall of 2008 the company I was working for in Broomfield closed their doors and it presented us the perfect opportunity to change things up. We moved to Phoenix, AZ in order to get closer to our families out in California. I found a new job within a week of being here and the rest is history. So far we are enjoying the year round warmth . . . but ask me again in a few months after our first summer here in Arizona :)
