In Memory

David Williams - Class Of 1986

David had a strong political mind and we always thought he would become a politician. He was a good friend and great to hang around because he gave alot of jokes. I remember in January 1986 a group of us went down to Falmouth All Age school (Barracks school) at 4am to view the passing of Hailey's comet. This comet only passes through the earth every 75 years and he insisted that we could not miss the opportunity of seeing it. It was a lovely morning and i will never forget it. May his soul rest in peace.

My Boy Wax. He was a good friend and great to hang out with, it was always funny to us that he loved corn bread so much he would listen for the truck. In the middle of class if you were close enough you could hear him say; Corn bread come! we would waste a lot of time hanging out with him, sometimes till late, by time I got home I would be in trouble for being out so late. I would cram for the test the next day get in class and struggle, he would come in the next day and breeze through the test and still manage to make good grades. He was just a funny guy and tons of fun to be around. but I had to limit my exposure after a while because it just was not working for me. But I always enjoyed and will never forget my adventures with my friend Wax. In retrospect I realised that the time we had with him was quite short. But It was not a waste of my time, it was time shared in the establishment of kinship and I can't ever forget that he was indeed a good friend.

I had the pleasure of meeting Dave after he left High School, even tho I started WK in 1984. He didn't live very far from me & boy he could give trouble!! He & I end up not talking for days sometimes bcuz he loved to gimmicks me alot & sometimes I couldn't stand it. I remember once he & I were in "malice", during that time, I was hit by a car. After coming from the hospital, Dave was the first person to be at my house with 2 supligen in brown paper bag. Peace offering I guess. We shared the same birth month & Dave would never forget my birthday.

Lilieth McDonald, Elaine Atkins & myself had fun hanging out with him. Every Sunday we went uptown to buy cane & then off to Palace Disco. Dave is not someone you can forget once you've met him......RIP Wax

I think he died around April 1990, shortly before his birthday.

I disagree. I know Michell Miller was the love of his life, based on what he told me.

Dave has left an indelible mark in my life. There are so many positive memories of him... friday night uptown eating roast corn and sugar cane after youth fellowship, moonlighting on the front lawn with friends at 14, going coney island in mobay without permission and get in BIG trouble when we couldnt get a ride back home to falmouth. He is one of those people you meet and can never forget. He was truly a friend.
