I attended Jefferson College for 2 years, then attended Florida Southern College where I played volleyball for 2 more years. Two months before I graduated from FSC, my brother Kent was killed in a Naval air crash. That was a life-changing moment that solidified my decision to move back home after graduation. I worked at Jefferson Co. Rehab with DeDe (Patterson) while waiting to get into Nursing School. I got married to David in August of 1994 and started Nursing School the same month. In 1996 I began working as an R.N. at JMH in Festus a few days a week, but as I had babies I worked less and less. I now only work one weekend (two 12 hr. shifts) each month...It's great! I also work one morning a week as a preschool gym teacher at the preschool where we attend church (Webster Hills UMC in Webster Groves).
We live in Crestwood with 2 cats and our newest addition, Skipper, a black lab puppy. Life is good!
