I have lived on a cattle ranch 12 miles SE of Tombstone, Arizona for 37 years. We still live there, and our grown children still live on the ranch, as well. We have two grandchildren, Zane Davis Compton, 4 1/2, and Macy Beth Compton, 1 year.
My husband, Fred and I and our children have enjoyed competing in rodeos during our marriage.
I was the President of Miss Rodeo Arizona, Inc. and served on the board of directors for an additional term. I also served as a member of the National Advisory Council for Miss Rodeo America.
In 2000 I became a Sales Director for Mary Kay Cosmetics, a position I held for 8 years. I resigned my position in 2008.
I went to school in Wetmore grades 1-3. We didn't have an indoor bathroom or a fire escape. When Jean Smith, Jackie Hazard, and I were in the 3rd grade they (whoever "they" is) decided we needed to have a method of getting us out of the school on the second floor in case of a fire. So...the teacher dropped us out of the second story window one at a time! We all survived the fire drill!
