After graduating, I went straight to Francis Marion and graduated with a degree in Math and Political Science. I got a job at FMU right out of college and worked there for four years. I then got a teaching assistantship and headed off to the University of Georgia where I got a master's degree in Applied Statistics. After wavering of what to do next, I took a job as a long term substitute at Lamar High School and fell in love with teaching. Teaching has provided me with many opportunities. I work with some great children! I was the Darlington County District Teacher of the Year in 2004 and 2016. I am currently working on a mechanical engineering technology degree at Florence-Darlington Tech. Just something to do after I retire in a couple of years.
