After high school I did a quick year of college and then waited tables for several years. In 1996 I went back to school and graduated with a paralegal degree. I moved to Houston in 1998 and returned to Iowa (Des Moines) in 2001. I met my husband, Jay, in 2003. We were married in April 2005 and had our first child, Evan, in the summer of 2006.
I am currently a legal assistant with the BrownWinick Law Firm in downtown Des Moines, working mainly in the area of renewable fuels. My husband works for an architect firm and has recently returned to school in the evenings, studying business management and accounting.
I keep busy with Evan, volunteering, photography, and putting together Team Linda Lou in memory of my mother for the annual Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure each year. Our team has grown to 50+ members with friends and family coming from as far away as CA, NV, WI, TX, CT, and all across the State of Iowa. After the walk everyone comes to my house for lunch! This year's race is October 25th and if anyone would like to join us, we'd love to have you!
