Wow…how time flies! Due to my lack of interest in actually making it to school on time or at all, I left Fort Dodge 2 months prior to graduating and transferred to Emporia High School in Kansas. My credits were transferred back to FD and I received a FDSH diploma. I worked in bars for years and that became old so I enrolled in Lawrence Career College. After graduating, I was hired as the Administrative Assistant at the school and did that for 7 months before moving into Financial Aid. After two years I became the Financial Aid Director and stayed with the school for six years. I had the opportunity to move to Heritage College, a larger school in Kansas City, and have been there for two years. It is a bit of a commute but I love helping students fund their education!
I have been happily unmarried to Rick Norman for about 12 years. Six years ago Rick’s sister passed away and we became the proud parents of his nephew Nick who is now 16 and a junior. He keeps us busy with swim team and other school activities. Rick has a daughter and son and we have three wonderful grandkids who we spend a lot of time with.
