Gladys E. Chaney, 52, of Fort Pierce, FL died Tuesday March 4, 2014 at Treasure Coast Hospice.
 

She was born on October 25, 1961 in Sodas, NY and has been a lifetime resident of Saint Lucie County.

Gladys attended the public schools of Saint Lucie County and a graduate of Fort Pierce Central High School Class of 1979.

She was self-employed in the healthcare business as a caregiver. Gladys was a member of The Triumph Church of Living God where she served on the Dining Hall Committee and a senior choir member.

Survivors include his sons, Lasedric Chaney, Frank Chaney of Fort Pierce, FL; daughters, Latisha Chaney, Sharonda Chaney, Mary Chaney, Joselyn Destine of Fort Pierce, FL; brother, Johnnie Chaney of Fort Pierce, FL; sisters, Sharri McCormick, Terri Chaney of Fort Pierce, FL; Clara Gilcreek of GA; and eight grandchildren.

Gladys was preceded in death by her mother, Beulah McCormick Davis Sheppard, and father, John H. Chaney.

Visitation will be held 3 to 7PM Friday March 14, 2014 at Stone Brothers Funeral Home. A funeral service will be 11AM Saturday March 15, 2014 at Greater Faith 13^th Street Church of God, Fort Pierce. Burial will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery.
